This was another portal framed structure with around 82t of steel that was enveloped by precast units which were tied structurally to our steelwork.
It included a two-storey classroom block with cantilevered canopy at the front of the site & a small lean-to structure.
Predominantly the steel on this project was from standard rolled steelwork of UC/UBs however we did have the luxury of playing with a fabricated RHS both section(Vertebeam) which was 19m long * 1.1m deep, this beam formed the support for five cranked beams that provide the elevated pitched seating for the event centre.
